Our exploration in forming leading AI solutions has led us to a different perspective, one where the people who work day in and day out in brick and mortar stores are not viewed as a “cost”, but rather a valuable asset. About AWL

Together with multinational members from 20 countries, AWL develops and offers AI camera solutions to solve issues and enhance value at retail stores. Through capital alliance with "SATUDORA", a drug store chain in Hokkaido, AWL has been conducting Proof-of-concept in the actual SATUDORA stores, and developing various AI features for store operations in a competitive price.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) alumni across the world have gathered back to Hanoi, Vietnam and are engaged in our mid-and-long term research and development.

AWL AI India, AWL's 100%-owned subsidiary. Indian Institutes of Technology alumni have gathered to Bengaluru, India and are engaged in our mid-and-long term research and development.

  • June

    • Established AI TOKYO LAB & Co. in Chuo-ku, TOKYO

2017
  • May

    • Moved Head Office to Kudan-kita, Chiyoda-ku

    • Formed capital alliance with SATUDORA HOLDINGS CO.,LTD.

  • August

    • Changed Corporate Name in Japanese also to AI TOKYO LAB & Co.

  • October

    • Established "AI HOKKAIDO LAB" in Hokkaido University as AI R&D site

    • Joint development of Smartphone Applications with Toyota Motor Corporation

2018
  • June

    • "AI Engineer Training Courses" held with The Graduate School of Project Design

    • Developed "Sapporo AI Human Resources Development Programs" with Sapporo City

  • July

    • AI TOKYO LAB's "AI Engineer Courses" certified as "Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's the 4th Industrial Revolution Skill Course"

  • December

    • Established R&D site, "AI TOKYO LAB Vietnam" as 100%-owned subsidiary in Hanoi, Vietnam

2019
  • February

    • Spin-off, AI contracted development business and AI education business to newly established companies

    • Changed company name to AWL, Inc.

    • New company named "AI TOKYO LAB Co., Ltd.", and transferred all shares to COCON Inc.

  • April

    • Changed name from “AI TOKYO LAB VIETNAM CO., Ltd.” to “AWL VIETNAM CO., LTD.” a 100%-owned subsidiary at Hanoi, Vietnam

  • September

    • Transferred to New Management Organization, changed major shareholders and built new partnership with SATUDORA HD

    • Appointed new Directors.

2020
  • February

    • Raised Total JPY 810 Million in the Series A Round

  • June

    • Moved Head Office to Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku (current location)

  • October

    • Begin International Joint Research with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB)
