Nikkei Shimbun featured AWL’s demonstration experiment on the mask detection AI system at Daimaru Department Store Sapporo. Department stores and offices are seeking new solutions to prevent “3Cs” amid COVID-19 pandemic. In this system, an AI-powered tablet placed at the entrance recognizes whether or not the customers have a mask on, and alert if the customer is not wearing. Other than this system, AWL is responding to the rapidly increasing needs for new AI solutions such as congestion detection at common bathing area in the hotel.
