AWL Announces Dual Head Office Structure<\/h3>\n

Tokyo, Japan \u2013 March 18, 2021 \u2013 AWL, Inc. (\u201cThe Company\u201d, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan, President: Muneharu Kitade), a Hokkaido University-certified venture company and leading edge AI camera solutions provider, has announced that it resolved, at its Board of Directors Meeting held on February 24, 2021, to establish \u201cSapporo Head Office\u201d and dual Head Office structure along with current Tokyo Head Office as of March 16. <\/p>\n

1. The Purpose of the establishment of \u201cSapporo Head Office\u201d<\/h4>\n

In October 2017, the Company established \u201cAI HOKKAIDO LAB\u201d as a research and development center on the campus of Hokkaido University. Since then, we have built a solid development structure in Sapporo through a commitment to developing cutting-edge AI solutions. In addition, key functions such as corporate division, which is in charge of international recruitment and development management division are gathered in Sapporo. With a view toward further enhancement of functions and increase of personnel, the Company have decided to set up \u201cSapporo Head Office\u201d in addition to \u201cAI HOKKAIDO LAB\u201d, in a complex facility located at Kita 8 Jo, Higashi-ku, Sapporo City to conduct key operations for business continuity as a Head Office. And with this change, the Tokyo \/ Sapporo dual Head Office structure has been established.<\/p>\n

At the complex facility, SATUDORA HOLDINGS CO., LTD., which has been striving to implement the \u201cDigital Transformation of physical store\u201d has its headquarters. There also is an innovation platform \u201cEZO HUB SAPPORO\u201d, created aiming at connecting each and every people, matters, and things in the community with \u201cBOOK LOUNGE\u201d, the space of wisdom of over 3,000 books and \u201cHUB SPACE\u201d, the event space to create communication inside and outside the company. On the first floor is a drug store \u201cSATUDORA Kita 8 Jo store\u201d, which enables the Company to conduct from PoC utilizing the physical store to research, development and product planning for commercialization. The Company intends to accelerate \u201csocial implementation of AI\u201d under new structure. <\/p>\n

Building a corporate culture of diversity together with global talents from 17 countries, The Company will continue to develop innovative and state-of-the-art technology which makes society better and contribute to growth of Sapporo as a member of the Sapporo local community. <\/p>\n
